Semi tips over on Highway 99, spills 100 gallons of diesel

EVERETT — A semi truck tipped over and spilled 100 gallons of diesel Friday, on a Highway 99 exit to Highway 525.
No one was injured in the crash on the southbound on-ramp around 5 p.m. south of Everett.
Crews contained the spill, but the ramp was expected to be closed into the evening as cleanup continued, Washington State Patrol trooper Heather Axtman said.
“A 100-gallon spill is quite significant,” she said.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
