ARLINGTON — Police surrounded a house in Arlington Tuesday morning after a man allegedly threatened his wife, their three children and three other people with a knife.
The wife, 43, called police around 7:40 a.m., saying her husband held her at knifepoint and said he was going to take their children at their home in the 3700 block of 176th Place NE.
She escaped the house with two of the children, but the man, 34, reportedly prevented their third child, two other children and another woman from leaving.
Multiple law enforcement agencies responded, including police from Arlington, Marysville, Everett and Lake Stevens, as well as the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and a SWAT team.
After two hours, police arrested the man. He was to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail for second-degree assault, felony harassment and unlawful imprisonment.
