Nighttime I-5 lanes closures continue in Mountlake Terrace

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — More nighttime closures are coming to southbound I-5 in Mountlake Terrace this weekend and next.

To prepare for Lynnwood Link light rail construction, three southbound lanes of I-5 between 220th Street SW and Highway 104 will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Saturday and reopening 8 a.m. Sunday. One lane will remain open.

The 220th on-ramp and the off-ramp to 104 also will be closed. The closures are set to occur Saturday and Sept. 28.

Some buses will be rerouted at the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center.

Crews will be re-striping and setting up concrete barriers. Work is weather dependent.

Sound Transit said drivers should expect delays and consider using alternative routes.
