Yakima pedestrian dies on Highway 525 in Mukilteo

MUKILTEO — A man died after a car hit him when he tried crossing Highway 525 late Tuesday night.

The Yakima man, 18-year-old KC Albert, was heading west across the highway near Beverly Park Road around 10:27 p.m. An Everett woman, 21, driving a 1983 BMW 7 series sedan, tried to swerve away but struck him, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Albert died at the scene. The Washington State Patrol concluded he was crossing illegally.

The driver and her passenger were not injured.
