BLAINE — Ferndale’s rushing attack racked up 352 yards and five touchdowns as the Golden Eagles (1-0) opened the season with a victory over the Bearcats (0-1).
Monroe’s Cole Pruett caught five passes for 95 yards and a touchdown, returned a kick for a TD and recovered a fumble on defense. Running back Kody Edelbrock added two touchdowns and 139 yards from scrimmage on 17 touches.

Lake Stevens 5, Lincoln (Seattle) 1
LAKE STEVENS — Elyse Baker scored a hat trick and Zoe Hopkins added a goal and three assists as Lake Stevens rolled to a season-opening win over Lincoln (Seattle).
Tayla Peterson recorded the clean sheet in goal, including several excellent saves for Lake Stevens.
Lakewood 3, Friday Harbor 0
FRIDAY HARBOR — Layla Thomas, Kahlan Buckley and Jasmine Graham each scored a goal as Lakewood opened its season with a win over Friday Harbor.
Jolee O’Conner had the shutout in net and Riley Westvang added two assists for the Cougars.
