Mill Creek council, Pos. 3: Briles focused on city’s well-being

As a relatively new Mill Creek resident, I look forward to voting to retain Benjamin Briles to the Mill Creek City Council. My family and I moved to Mill Creek right at the beginning of the pandemic. My initial insight into and interaction with my new community was online on social media and news outlets. I read about Benjamin’s appointment to the city council and saw his posts in community groups. He embodied the friendliness and support that had attracted me to Mill Creek. When I finally met him in person, I immediately realized his online presence was a true and accurate reflection of his values and passions. Benjamin is intelligent, welcoming, and thoughtful in his interactions with every person he meets. It is obvious the future and well-being of his community is in the forefront of all he does and Benjamin is always looking for ways to support local businesses and initiatives.

Benjamin understands that what is good for Mill Creek is good for the families in the community, and that the future we build for our kids must be built collaboratively. In his role as the former chair of the Mill Creek Arts and Beautification Board, as well as former Snohomish County Planning Commissioner, Benjamin has focused on ensuring that our community balances growth and community traffic and service needs, all while operating in a cost-effective manner.

I urge you to vote to retain Benjamin Briles on the Mill Creek City Council.
