BOYS BASKETBALL

NON-LEAGUE

Curtis 74, Jackson 71

UNIVERSITY PLACE — Bradley Tharp scored 21 points and Sylas Williams added 19, but Jackson fell to Curtis on a 3-pointer at the buzzer in a non-league game on Friday night.

Drilon Veliu chipped in 15 points as Jackson (5-1) suffered its first loss of the season.

Curtis improved to 4-0 on the season.

EMERALD SOUND CONFERENCE

Sultan 72, South Whidbey 38

SULTAN — Sophomore guard Toby Trichler scored a game-high 27 points as Sultan raced to a league win over South Whidbey.

Tyler Sargent scored 15 points and Cameron Gundersen added eight for Sultan (5-3, 2-2 Emerald Sound).

Josh Sterba scored a team-high nine points for South Whidbey (1-6, 1-3).

NORTHWEST 2B/1B

Darrington 50, Concrete 41

CONCRETE — Chase Miller scored a team-high 15 points to help led Darrington to a league win over Concrete.

Nate Mulled scored 10 points and Phoenix Tillequots added seven for Darrington (3-3, 1-1 Northwest 2B/1B).

Concrete fell to 1-6 on the season and 0-4 in league play.

WESCO 2A/3A

Mountlake Terrace 44, Meadowdale 42

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Mya Sheffield hit a game-winning 3-pointer with under 5 seconds to play as Mountlake Terrace edged Meadowdale in a league thriller on Friday night.

Sheffield scored 17 points, all in the second half, to help lead Mountlake Terrace (5-1, 2-1 Wesco 2A/3A) to the win.

McKenna Kuecker scored 12 points and Gia Powell added eight for Meadowdale (2-3, 1-1).

Archbishop Murphy 48, Shorecrest 25

SHORELINE — Ava Marr scored a game-high 20 points to help lead Archbishop Murphy to a league win over Shorecrest.

Taylor Reed scored nine points and Hannah Humphrey and Tamiah Joseph added six each for Archbishop Murphy (4-1, 2-0 Wesco 2A/3A).

Alexis Paule made two 3-pointers and totaled nine points for Shorecrest (1-4, 0-3).

Snohomish 59, Monroe 35

SNOHOMISH — Ella Gallatin scored a game-high 20 points and 11 different players scored for Snohomish in a league win over Monroe.

Cheyenne Rodgers scored 12 points to help Snohomish (5-1, 2-0 Wesco 2A/3A) to its fourth straight win.

Adrian Lincoln led Monroe (0-5, 0-2) with a team-high 19 points.

Cedarcrest 49, Shorewood 36

DUVALL — Kat Townley and Holly Williams scored 10 points each as Cedarcrest used a balaned offense to beat Shorewood in a league game.

Bella Rose and Madelyn Davidson added nine points each for Cedarcrest (3-1, 2-1 Wesco 2A/3A).

Gabbi Santiago and Vanessa Spadafora scored six points each for Shorewood (2-4, 0-1).

Stanwood 53, Everett 38

STANWOOD — Cezanne DePew scored a team-high 15 points, all on 3-pointers, as Stanwood rolled to a league win over Everett to stay unbeaten on the season.

Ava Cook scored 10 points and Tatum Barger added nine, all on 3-pointers, for Stanwood (4-0, 2-0 Wesco 2A/3A).

Everett fell to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.

NON-LEAGUE

Cascade 49, Marysville Pilchuck 32

EVERETT — Claire Mitchell scored a team-high 14 points and Mariam Sylla added 12 as Cascade beat Marysville Pilchuck for its first win of the season.

Darshay Grace scored seven points and Abby Surowiec added six for Cascade (1-3).

Gianna Frank scored 14 points and Briana Ruiz added six for Marysville Pilchuck (1-5).

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

Ferndale 57, Lakewood 37

ARLINGTON — Mandy Harrison had seven points and nine rebounds, but Lakewood fell to Ferndale in a Northwest Conference game.

Emma Tocco added five points for Lakewood (2-3, 1-2 Northwest Conference).

Ferndale improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in league play.

NORTHWEST 2B/1B

Darrington 58, Concrete 45

CONCRETE — Alyvia Wright scored a team-high 21 points to help lead Darrington to a league win over Concrete.

Claire Wright scored 12 points and Carli Espeland added eight for Darrington (3-4, 1-2 Northwest 2B/1B).

Payton Dickson scored a game-high 26 points for Concrete (1-5, 0-4).
