Associated Press high school football poll for Week 5

Week 4 of the high school football season saw Snohomish County Class 4A powers Glacier Peak and Lake Stevens suffer losses to out-of-state teams.

But the defeat didn’t hurt the Grizzlies in the eyes of state media members who vote in the Associated Press state high school football poll.

Glacier Peak moved up to the No. 1 spot in 4A this week, while previous No. 1 Lake Stevens dropped to No. 3.

In 3A, unbeaten Monroe moved up two spots and into a tie for No. 8. Meanwhile, unbeaten Stanwood slid from No. 9 to just outside the top 10.

Here’s a look at the complete rankings from each classification, with first-place votes in parenthesis, overall record and total points:
