Two escape but one man injured in Meadowdale house fire

MEADOWDALE — A man was injured in a house fire Tuesday night in the Meadowdale area.

South County Fire crews responded to the fire at 6:12 p.m. in the 15700 block of 52nd Avenue W outside of Edmonds. A woman and her son got out of the one-story home but a man was still inside, according to South County Fire.

Firefighters found him in a smoke-filled bedroom and got him out through a window. He was taken to a hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening, according to South County Fire.

There were no other injuries.

Fire was contained to one bedroom but smoke damage spread through the home. South County Fire estimated damage at $50,000.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office was investigating what caused the fire.
