Is the post office up to the job of delivering Herald?

I am sad that I will no longer be able to get a printed paper each morning.

I want you to know I have appreciated The Hearld over the years, local reporting and features. I had always looked forward to those editions. I hope you will continue an emphasis on local for at least a while. And I hope we continue to have an Everett paper.

Your plan to have the post office deliver is very flawed. As the U.S. Postal Service has struggled to do daily delivery I suspect that adding The Hearld will complicate my delivery. I am wondering if you even discussed the impact locally. As it is there are at least two days a week I don’t get mail, and I live in the city of Everett in a neighborhood. For those reasons I will discontinue print and move to fully electronic. Seems the best solution for me, I don’t want to receive yesterday’s paper today.

I am also wondering why this is not a news item where you more fully share the thought process and the planning behind this move. You had one article but not about how you are working with the postal service.

It’s the end of a era for me and I will miss my print edition. All the best.
