Everett Animal Shelter hosting lowered cost spay, neuter clinic

EVERETT — Pet owners can bring their cats to a low-cost neuter and spay clinic Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Everett Animal Shelter.

The owners must meet income qualifications for the $40 service fee that includes a free microchip. Eligibility is $63,350 for a one-person household, and another $9,050 for each additional person.

Cats must be at least 8 weeks old, weigh at least two pounds and healthy. Feral cats won’t be treated.

Other services available include the distemper vaccine (FVRCP) for $10, parasite treatment for fleas, ear mites, roundworms, hookworms at $10, and the rabies vaccine for pets 12 weeks or older at $10.

Registration is useful as time slots get booked early and can be done at everettwa.gov/2833/Spay-Neuter-Events.

Drop off is from 7 to 10 a.m. and pick-up is 2 to 5 p.m.
