EVERETT — A two-alarm house fire in south Everett caused “extensive fire damage” to a house and displaced two people, according to the Everett Fire Deparment.

At 10 a.m. Monday, Everett firefighters were dispatched to 11200 E Ibberson Drive, just north of Silver Lake.

The crew managed to extinguish the fire within 20 minutes and prevented it from spreading to neighboring homes, fire department spokesperson Rachael Doniger said.

There were no reported injuries. The south side of the house sustained heavy damage, including a second-story deck. At least two vehicles on the property were also damaged, according to the fire department. The American Red Cross was helping the two displaced residents — one adult and a child.

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
