AquaSox’s bats go quiet in loss to Indians

EVERETT — The Spokane Indians jumped out to a five-run lead after three innings and cruised to a 10-2 win over the Everett AquaSox on Wednesday night at Funko Field.

Tyler Locklear hit his eighth home run of the season, and Ben Ramirez, Walking Cabrera and Charlie Welch all had doubles for an AquaSox offense that managed just five total hits in the game.

Raul Alcantara started on the mound for Everett (17-16) and struck out seven in 4.2 innings, but allowed seven runs on seven hits in the process. Kingsbury struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.

Nic Kent, Jordan Beck and Yanquiel Fernandez all homered in the game for Spokane (17-15).
