AquaSox hang on late, beat Hops for 4th straight win

HILLSBORO — Hogan Windish went 3-for-5 with two RBI and the Everett AquaSox held off a late rally to beat the Hillsboro Hops 8-7 on Wednesday night for their fourth straight win.
Alberto Rodriguez went 2-for-4, including his 21st double of the season, and drove in a run, and Ben Ramirez doubled and drove in two runs for the AquaSox.
Raul Alcantara struck out nine and allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings on the mound for Everett (33-32).
Manuel Pena homered twice, including a two-run shot that pulled the Hops to within one in the bottom of the ninth inning, and Ivan Melendez added a solo home run for Hillsboro (24-41).
