Stanwood 39, Meadowdale 16

STANWOOD — Luke Brennan tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another as the Spartans closed their season with a win over the Mavericks.

Brennan connected on long TD passes to Max Mayo and Eli Caniglia. Mayo and Joey Mumbuluma added rushing TDs, and Alex Maldonado capped the scoring with a touchdown pass to Shawn Porter for Stanwood (4-6).

Victor Eicher had 60 yards on six receptions, including a 16-yard TD from Cameron Platt, Jordan Joyce rushed for a 9-yard TD and Kelvin Mudaliar connected on a 28-yard field goal for Meadowdale (4-6).

Cedarcrest 34, Hazen 7

RENTON — The Red Wolves surpassed their win total from last season by topping the Highlanders.

Connor Haraden scored two return touchdowns for Cedarcrest, one on a kickoff and one on a fumble. Dylan Hartje rushed 24 times for 116 yards and a score, while Connor Altmyer also scored a rushing TD for the Red Wolves.

Cedarcrest improved to 8-2. Hazen dropped to 4-6.

FRIDAY’S GAMES

Winner to state

Mount Si 39, Glacier Peak 14

SNOQUALMIE — The Grizzlies saw their season come to an end in the Class 4A Week 10 playoffs for the sixth time in seven years with the loss to the Wildcats.

Glacier Peak struck first, with Lucas Entler finding Tristan Roach for a 32-yard touchdown early in the first quarter. However, the Grizzlies were unable to stop Mount Si running back C.J. Rose who carried 28 times for 213 yards and a touchdown.

Mount Si heads to the state playoffs at 7-3. Glacier Peak finished its season 6-4.

Graham-Kapowsin 63, Kamiak 15

SPANAWAY — The Knights’ season came to an end at the hands of the Eagles in the Class 4A Week 10 playoff contest.

Graham-Kapowsin, the top-ranked 4A team in the state in the Associated Press poll, improved to 10-0.

Ezra Davis scored a 55-yard run and Tyler Odegaard and Connor O’Meara linked up for a 78-yard TD for Kamiak, finished its season 1-9. Davis finished with 95 yards on 10 carries.

Arlington 54, Ballard 13

ARLINGTON — The Eagles’ dream season will continue into the state playoffs after they dominated the Beavers in the Class 3A Week 10 playoff game.

Leyton Martin threw four touchdown passes, including first-half strikes to Stevie Balderas and Jake Willis as Arlington took control early.

The Eagles (10-0) qualified for state for the second time in three years. The Eagles will be seeded high as they attempt to win their first state playoff game since 2005.

Ballard finished its season 3-7.

Bellevue 49, Mountlake Terrace 7

BELLEVUE — The Hawks saw their season come to an end with the loss to the Wolverines in the Class 3A Week 10 playoffs. Bellevue improved to 7-2, Mountlake Terrace finished its season 6-4.

O’Dea 56, Shorecrest 0

SEATTLE — Jason Brown and the Fighting Irish were too much for the Scots to handle in the Class 3A week 10 playoff contest.

Brown, O’Dea’s star running back, rushed for four touchdowns in the first half as the Irish (10-0), who are the top-ranked 3A team in the Associated Press state poll, raced out to a 42-0 halftime lead.

Shorecrest finished its season 4-6.

Nooksack Valley 56, Granite Falls 0

GRANITE FALLS — The Pioneers’ offense was unstoppable, scoring touchdowns on all seven of its first-half possessions, and the Tigers fell short in their quest to qualify for the Class 1A state playoffs for the second time in three years.

Cory Olney scored on a 31-yard pass from Joey Brown early in the first quarter, and it was off to the races from there for Nooksack Valley (7-2), which was a state semifinalist last year.

Granite Falls finished its season 7-3.

Darrington 2, Taholah 0

DARRINGTON — The Loggers clinched their first state tournament berth since moving to Class 1B via forfeit over the Chitwhins.

Darrington (9-1) last reached the state playoffs in 2013. Taholah dropped to 2-6.

Mariner 24, Lynnwood 21

EDMONDS — The Marauders jumped out to a 24-0 lead in the second quarter, then held off the Royals late. Mariner finished the season 2-8, Lynnwood finished 0-10.

Shorewood 28, Nathan Hale 23

SHORELINE — Reid Petschl carried 20 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and the Stormrays finished off their season in victorious fashion with the victory over the Raiders.

Petschl’s second score came in the fourth quarter, giving Shorewood a two-score lead that was able to absorb a late Nathan Hale touchdown.

Tyler Giles added a pair of rushing TDs for Shorewood (3-7).

Nathan Hale finished its season 4-6.

Archbishop Murphy 74, Ingraham 0

EVERETT — The Wildcats finished off a big rebound season in emphatic fashion with the blowout victory over the Rams.

Jayden Madison rushed for two TDs and returned a punt for a score. Jevin Madison, Jonah Wilson, Isaiah Smith and Jordan Rife all added rushing scores. Jovin Shoker chipped in a 40-yard TD connection with Henry Gabalis, and Traevon Phifer had a pick-six. Andrew Lucas and Eli Leyba also recorded safeties for the defense. Archbishop Murphy, in coach Joe Cronin’s first season in charge, finished 6-4 after the Wildcats were winless last season.

Ingraham finished 5-5.

Oak Harbor 37, Everett 6

EVERETT — Oak Harbor finished its season 4-6, Everett finished its season 3-7.

Bellingham 47, Sultan 21

BELLINGHAM — Derek Feltner rushed for 133 yards and a TD, but the Turks fell to the Bayhawks in a non-league game.

Julio Vargas returned a kickoff of a TD and had 90 receiving yards on seven receptions, and Jonathan Van Pelt added a rushing scored for Sultan (6-4).

The Bayhawks (6-4) built a 33-7 in the third quarter of the season-concluding game for both teams.

Lakewood 46, Jackson 18

ARLINGTON — Toren Jack and Josh Irvin each scored two touchdowns, leading the Cougars over the Timberwolves.

Nash Espe threw for 223 yards and two touchdown, one to Jack and one to Porter Espe, and Daniel Amevo also ran for a score for Lakewood, which finished the season 4-6. Irvin piled up 184 yards (120 rushing, 64 receiving) of offense on 19 touches. Evan Stacy led the defense with an interception and a forced fumble. Dylan Kirkpatrick tacked on a 26-yard field goal.

Jackson finished 3-7.

Sedro-Woolley 49, Snohomish 0

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — The Cubs finished the season 7-3, the Panthers finished 2-8.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Winner to state

Marysville Pilchuck 28, Gig Harbor 7

GIG HARBOR — The Tomahawks weren’t slowed down by a long road trip and pulled out an emphatic upset over the Tides to clinch the third 3A state tournament berth over the past four postseasons.

After a scoreless first half that saw Marysville Pilchuck (7-3) dominate possession, the Tomahawks broke out for 28 unanswered points in the second half. Joseph Davis ran in a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter, Kenai Sinaphet busted loose for an 81-yard TD run in the fourth and Dominik Kendrick sealed with a late 70-yard pick-six.

Gig Harbor (7-3) scored a late TD in the final minute.

Monroe 41, Bonney Lake 24

MONROE — Blake Springer threw three TD passes, Gavin Ranz rushed for two scores and the Bearcats blew by the Panthers to clinch their second straight 3A state tournament berth.

Springer connected with Mason Davis for two scores and Matthew Rodriguez on the other. Nick Mouser chipped in rushing TD for Monroe (9-1). The Bearcats pulled away with 27 unanswered points after a Bonney Lake field goal made it 14-10 Monroe midway through the second quarter.

Bonney Lake ended its season at 7-4.

Lake Stevens 54, Olympia 0

LAKE STEVENS — Kolton Matson tossed five touchdowns passes, including two apiece to Jesse Lewis and David Brown, and the Vikings cruised past the Bears to wrap up their ninth consecutive state tournament berth.

Brown intercepted two passes and returned one for a score for Lake Stevens (10-0). Paul Varela rushed for a touchdown and had an interception, Jaxson Lewis caught a TD and Jayshon Limar ran for a score. The Vikings raced out to a 54-0 lead by halftime.

Olympia finished it season at 3-7.

Mountain View 42, Edmonds-Woodway 28

VANCOUVER — The Warriors’ bid for the upset and a 3A state tournament berth came up short against the Thunder.

Edmonds-Woodway (6-4) built a 21-7 halftime lead behind two touchdown passes from Steven Warren Jr. and a Rashaad Gerona-Chatters rushing TD, but Mountain View (9-1) stormed back with three third-quarter TD runs by Porter Drake to take a 28-21 lead.

The Thunder extended its lead 42-21 before a late fourth-quarter TD pass from Warren to Diego Escandon, who caught one of Warren’s first-half TD passes. David Danyo also hauled in a TD reception for Edmonds-Woodway.

Winlock 26, Tulalip Heritage 20

WINLOCK — The Hawks fell to the Cardinals in a winner-to-state 1B game.

Tulalip Heritage finished its season at 4-6. Winlock improved to 5-4.

Non-league

Marysville Getchell 26, Bishop Blanchet 21

MARYSVILLE — The Chargers ended their season with a victory over the Bears.

Bubba Palacol tossed a TD pass to Ben Allestad and Shawn Etheridge and Andrew Withers added rushing scores for Marysville Getchell (7-3).

Bishop Blanchet dropped to 4-6.

Inglemoor 54, Cascade 28

BOTHELL — Brandon Lagutang rushed for a touchdown and caught a TD, but the Bruins fell in their season finale with the Vikings.

Andi Cosme and Zach Lopez added rushing scores for Cascade (3-6).

Inglemoor improved to 4-5.
