Stanwood 5, Monroe 2

MONROE — A Monroe error in the top of the seventh scored two Stanwood runs as the Spartans took the lead closed out the Bearcats the rest of the way.

Luke Brennan went 1-for-3 with an RBI while four other Stanwood (10-7, 7-4) players connected on a hit.

The Bearcats (13-4) lost their first league contest of the season, falling to 10-1 in the Wesco North.

DUVALL — Tristan Dodds went 3-for-4 and racked up three doubles, adding five RBI as Meadowdale torched Cedarcrest.

Leadoff hitter Kealoha Kepoo-Sabate went 3-for-5, Andre Titus went 3-for-3 and Nolan Webster went 2-for-2 as the Mavericks (10-8, 7-5) connected on 17 of their total 30 at-bats.

Tony Scholl went four innings on the mound and pick up the win, striking out seven with one walk, allowing one hit.

Non-league

Ferndale 14, Lynnwood 13

FERNDALE — The Eagles captured three runs in the ninth inning and pulled away from Lynnwood on a walk-off hit in the final frame.

The Royals (6-12, 5-7) got multi-hit games from four players, with Jace Hampson (3-for-5) leading at the plate with a homer, adding a double, one RBI, a steal and three runs scored. DJ McQuire also went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a walk.

Edmonds-Woodway 3, Hazen 3

SEATTLE — The Warriors and Highlanders played to a tie in a game played at T-Mobile Park, the home of the Seattle Mariners. The game ended after six innings because of the 2-hour, 15-minute time limit.

Kohl Gruender doubled, scored a run and drove in a run to lead Edmonds-Woodway (14-4-1).

Max Lawson went 2-for-2 to lead Hazen (8-7-1).
