EVERETT — Rachel Sysum came in clutch with a walk-off, three-run homer as second-seeded Jackson defeated No. 6 North Creek in a Class 4A District 1/2 semifinal game, booking its eighth consecutive state tournament berth.
Yanina Sherwood pitched a perfect game, notching 17 strikeouts across 10 full innings for the Timberwolves (20-2). Jackson will face No. 8 Kamiak in the district title on Friday at Phil Johnson Ballfields at 6 p.m.

EVERETT — Ally Boulger went 3-for-5 and drove in four runs as eighth-seeded Kamiak edged No. 5 Lake Stevens in a Class 4A District 1/2 semifinal tilt, clinching a state tournament berth.
Synclair Mawudeku pitched all eight innings and struck out 15 with five walks, allowing six hits. Scarlette Chapman was 2-for-2 at the plate, drawing three walks for the Knights (18-4).
Emerson Cummins homered and went 3-for-4 for the Vikings (16-4), who will face No. 10 Glacier Peak on Friday at 6 p.m. in a non-elimination, winner-to-state contest at Phill Johnson ballfields.
Kamiak will play Jackson in the district championship tilt on Friday at 6 p.m. at the same location.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Avalon Kummer went 4-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored as No. 4 Lakewood topped fifth-seeded Cedarcrest in a Class 2A District 1 quarterfinals matchup.
Katie Krueger pitched a complete game and struck out nine with two walks, allowing 11 hits with one earned run. She broke Cougars’ all-time strikeout record, recording her 404th.

SEDRO-WOOLLEY — Sedro-Woolley starter Kassandra Gonzales held Lakewood to just three hits as the Cougars fell to the Cubs in a Class 2A District 1 semifinals game.
Avalon Kummer went 2-for-3 at the plate while Katie Krueger recorded a double and a stolen base for Lakewood (14-6).
The No. 4 Cougars will play No. 6 Archbishop Murphy in a loser-out, consolation round tilt on Friday at 4 p.m. at Janicki Fields.
