MARYSVILLE — A 30-2 second-quarter run for the Chargers (2-2, 1-0) highlighted their biggest win of the season as they defeated their rivals, the Tomahawks (0-6, 0-1). Marysville Getchell was paced by senior guard Zach Rice’s game-high 22 points (six 3-pointers made). Marysville Pilchuck got most of their offense from freshman guard Michael Rangel-Smathers, who had 16 points.

LYNNWOOD — The battle of the Eagles saw Grace Academy (1-0 overall, 1-0 conference) earn their first win of the season against Cedar Park Christian (0-3, 0-2). Grace Academy trailed 8-4 after the first, only to allow just nine points in the following two frames. This defensive engagement paired well with a team-high 11 points from freshman Tashina Cortez, who was playing in her first varsity action. The same went for freshman Keali Stewart, who had nine points.
