Gulf of Americas would be more accurate name

The Gulf of Mexico was so named by Spanish explorers about 475 years ago. If it were really necessary, or desirable, to change its name, what does it say about President Trump, his ego, his puerile simplistic thinking, his MAGAmania, and his regard for his (our) neighbors, that he did NOT call it the “Gulf of the Americas” instead?
