Bellevue teen suspected in Edmonds waterfront shooting

EVERETT — A Bellevue teen was arrested after a shooting along the Edmonds waterfront over the weekend.
Around 1 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Admiral Way near a restaurant parking lot, according to a post on social media from the Edmonds Police Department.
A 15-year-old allegedly opened fire into a car with four people inside as they were attempting to leave, the release said. Police said there was an interaction between two groups who knew one another and had a previous dispute before the gunfire.
Officers said an 18-year-old from Lynnwood suffered a grazing wound after being hit by the bullet. She was treated at the scene and was not taken to a hospital, the release said. Three other people were not hurt, according to police.
The 15-year-old was taken into custody near the waterfront before 3 a.m., the release said.
He was booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, police said.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting, according to the release.
