Suspect arrested after man killed in fistfight outside Marysville restaurant

EVERETT — One man is dead and another is suspected of manslaughter after a fistfight in Marysville on Tuesday night.

Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. for reports of a physical altercation between two men behind Don’s Restaurant in the 1200 block of 4th Street, according to a release from the Marysville Police Department.

During the fight, police said one of the men became unresponsive and stopped breathing. First responders tried to save the man’s life, but he died at the scene, the release said.

The other man involved in the fight was arrested on suspicion of first-degree manslaughter, according to police.

Online records show he was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on Wednesday morning.

Marysville police said detectives are in the early stages of an investigation.
