Aaron Davenport
Cedarcrest | Baseball
Davenport, a sophomore, pitched a complete game five-hitter, allowing no earned runs and striking out eight in the Red Wolves’ 3-2 win over Fife in the 2A state semifinals. Cedarcrest fell 14-3 to Selah on Saturday in the state championship game.
Emma Helm
Meadowdale | Softball
Helm, a junior catcher, batted 9-for-12 with four home runs and nine RBI in four games to help lead the Mavericks to their first ever state softball championship. Helm batted 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored in the Mavs’ 10-0 win over Enumclaw in the 3A state championship game.
Daniel Mycroft
Archbishop Murphy | Boys Soccer
Mycroft, a freshman, allowed just one goal and saved four penalty kicks in 11 chances this past weekend to lead the Wildcats to victories over Sehome in the 2A state semifinals and Quincy in the state championship game. Mycroft was the star as both games went to shootouts, helping the Wildcats win their second consecutive state championship.

Shorecrest | Boys Tennis
The doubles team of Wacker and Khan won the 3A state championship on Saturday by going 4-0 in the tournament and defeating Sehome’s Shane Lynette and Reece Gilbert in the final.
Sasha Gaeth
Shorewood | Girls Tennis
Gaeth, a freshman, won three matches and lost one this past weekend at the 3A state tennis championships to earn a fourth-place finish.
Ethan Casto
Snohomish | Boys Golf
Casto, a senior, shot a 75 in both the first and second round of the 4A state golf championships for a combined score of 150. He finished tied for ninth place with Kamiak’s Alvin Kwak, Newport’s Travis Kay and Inglemoor’s Mason Phalen.
Jane Kim
Kamiak | Girls Golf
Kim, a freshman, shot a first-round 79 and a second-round 78 for a combined score of 157 at the 4A state golf championships. Kim finished tied for 17th place.
Nicholas Blair
Everett | Boys Track
Blair, a senior, won his first individual state championship with a victory in the 3A shot put finals. Blair’s winning throw of 55 feet, ½ inch was nearly four inches better than Bonney Lake’s Caleb Davis, who finished second.
Chinne Okoronkwo
Mountlake Terrace | Girls Track
Okoronkwo, a senior, won the long jump, pole vault and triple jump at the 3A state meet for a second consecutive season. She became a four-time winner in the triple jump, three-time winner in the long jump and two-time winner in the pole vault.
