SHORELINE — Behind a solid second-half defense and the play of junior Alysanne Van Dyke, King’s was able to sweep Lakewood 25-19, 25-19, 25-16 in a Cascade Confernce game on Thursday night.

“(Alysanne) Van Dyke has really been our go-to this year,” said King’s assistant coach Bart Foley. “Tonight she kinda struggled offensively early on, but she stuck with it later in the second half and really came on strong.”

Van Dyke would finish the game with seven kills and 12 digs.

Foley also was sure to highlight some of the keys to the Knight’s victory. “We probably won on the serve-receive,” said Foley. “We also passed better than they did, and our serving toward the end really caught fire.”
