State baseball rankings

The website scoreczar.com, which specializes in “scary accurate” computer rankings for prep teams in the state of Washington, released its latest baseball rankings and there was some movement among the local teams in the top 10.
In 4A, Marysville Pilchuck’s big win over Snohomish catapulted the Tomahawks (5-0 Wesco North, 8-1 overall) four spots to No. 4 over unbeaten Lake Stevens (5-0, 10-0), which remains ranked No. 5. Edmonds-Woodway (6-1 Wesco South, 8-2) fell two spots to No. 8 after going 3-1 last week.
Mountlake Terrace, which went 3-0 last week and outscored its opponents 35-1, is the highest ranked local team at No. 24. Mount Vernon, which will be playing in 4A Wesco North next year, remained No. 1.
Archbishop Murphy (10-0 Cascade, 10-1), which lost its first game of the season last week, slipped a spot to No. 6. Lynden, the team that beat the Wildcats, jumped from No. 9 to No. 3.
