This week’s featured new home is a five-bedroom, 2.75-bath two-story on a quiet cul-de-sac in the Creekside at Quilceda development in Marysville. It has a bonus room and an offset three-car garage.
The back yard includes an aggregate patio.
Entrance to the home is through a paneled door with leaded glass inset. Four-inch hardwood planking covers the floor and extends throughout much of the main living area.
Wrought-iron balusters with wood railing frame a staircase that ascends to the upper level, which is highlighted by a bedroom suite. Three large bedrooms facing front, rear and side yards are served by a second full bathroom. A laundry room and the extra-large bonus room complete the upper level.
The formal living room, which is open to the second level, receives Craftsman-style woodwrapped windows on both levels. The dining room has a coffered ceiling trimmed with double crown molding millwork.
Features of the island-design kitchen include cherry-paneled Shaker-style cabinets with crown molding, hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar, and granite slab countertops with a brick-style ceramic tile backsplash that ascends to cabinet level. A large L-shaped walk-in pantry with ventilated wire storage shelves completes the kitchen.
An informal dining area is adjacent, with a sliding-glass door that opens to the patio.
The family room has a propane fireplace trimmed with cultured stone and completed with a formal wood mantel.
A three-quarter bathroom and the fifth bedroom or home office complete the entry level. Features of the bathroom include ceramic tile flooring, a walk-in shower with ceramic tile surround, and a single vanity topped with ceramic tile and backsplash.
A paneled French door opens to the expansive bedroom suite upstairs. The room overlooks the back yard and is augmented by a five-piece bathroom and a wardrobe closet. Among the bathroom features are tile flooring, a corner soaker tub with ceramic tile deck and surround, a double vanity topped with tile, and a walk-in shower with ceramic tile surround. The tub is positioned beneath two corner windows.
A sky bridge connects the other bedrooms and the bonus room. The bonus room has a French door and a bump-out clerestory window.
