Everett vs. Kootenay: lineup notes; plus Paul Sohor leaves team

First off, Tips defenseman Paul Sohor has returned home and is awaiting a trade. The 19-year-old Sohor has two seasons under his belt, but he dropped to eighth on the depth chart among Everett’s d-men. He stuck it out for a while, but he’s decided he needs to play more. Everett general manager Doug Soetaert said he would attempt to honor Sohor’s trade request. The recent defections of Sohor and winger Taylor Cote bring Everett’s roster down to 23 — 14 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders.
Now for tonight’s lineups:

Notes: Everett welcomes captain Landon Ferraro back to the lineup after eight games out because of a concussion. However, Ferraro returns on the wing instead of at center as Josh Winquist retains his place between Kellan Tochkin and Tyler Maxwell. Also returning from a concussion is center Manraj Hayer. Winger Campbell Elynuik remains sidelined because of a shoulder injury.

Scratches: Rintoul, Montgomery, Benoit.
Notes: Kootenay plays without defenseman Hayden Rintoul and winger Brock Montgomery because of knee injuries. The Ice have 15-year-old center Sam Reinhart, the Kootenay’s first-round pick in this year’s bantam draft, with the team for the trip through the U.S. Division.
