One-time USO singer’s revue a tribute to vets

Take a musical journey back to the 1940s at a USO revue featuring former USO singer Joannie Jackson Schendel on Sunday at the Edmonds Senior Center.
In a tribute to veterans, Schendel will talk about her days on tour during World War II and sing songs from that era. Beth Wolfe will be at the keyboards and other performers will entertain too.
The revue goes from 2 to 4 p.m. at the senior center, 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds.
Tickets are $15, which includes dessert and coffee, tea and punch.
