Bothell home likely destroyed by fire

BOTHELL — A deck fire spread to an attic and likely destroyed a home near Bothell on Friday morning.

The fire was reported around 7:30 a.m., officials said. It had spread through the attic when Snohomish County Fire District 7 firefighters arrived.

The home is in the 2600 block of 189th Street SE, north of Bothell in unincorporated Snohomish County. No injuries were reported in the fire, but some pets at the home were unaccounted for Friday.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Friday afternoon.
