Arlington: Movie, Shakespeare in park
There are two outdoor entertainment events at Arlington’s amphitheater at Terrace Park this week.
The movie “Back to the Future” plays at dusk on Thursday and the play “A Winter’s Tale” is set to be performed at 6 p.m. Saturday.
Terrace Park is located at 809 E. Fifth Ave. Bring a chair and blanket.

Camano Island: Cama Beach quilt show
A free event, “Quilts on the Beach,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday is a one-day showing of quilts made by the Cama Beach Quilters for the cabins at the state park.
The volunteers have been making quilts for the cabins at the park since 2001 and were honored for their contributions in 2008.
Other activities are planned.

Marysville: Outdoor movies continue
Three more movie showings are part of this year’s Popcorn in the Parks Outdoor Cinema Series at Jennings Park.
Families can bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy “Hook” on July 31, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” on Aug. 7, and “Twilight” on Aug. 14. Movies begin at dusk at the Jennings Memorial Park Baseball Field at 6915 Armar Road.
The Marysville Kiwanis Club provides free popcorn at each showing.

Silvana: Fair at Viking Hall Saturday
The annual Silvana Fair is set for Saturday and kicks off the fair season in Snohomish County.
The fair is all about 4-H and kids.
All activities take place at the Viking Hall on Pioneer Highway and the adjacent fields.
Entry and parking are free.
Fair food, including fries at the 4-H booth, as well as souvenirs and vendor-offered products will be available for purchase.

Stanwood: PTA holds benefit rummage sale
The Stanwood Elementary PTA rummage sale is set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the school gym, 10227 273rd Pl. NW.
Merchandise is priced to sell with extra savings from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Donations are accepted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
