PREP WRESTLING: Everett puts 10 wrestlers into semis

EVERETT — As expected Everett’s wrestling team jumped out to a lead after the first day of the 3A sub regional tournament Friday night. The Seagulls, ranked fifth in 3A according to Washington Wrestling report, have scored 126 points so far— 14 more than Ferndale in second place.

The host Seagulls have 10 wrestlers into the semifinals, which is tops amongst the five local school participating in the tournament. All semifinalists advance to the Regional tournament next weekend.

Glacier peak was fourth overall with 91.5 points and has six wrestlers in semifinal bouts tomorrow. Meadowdale, Lynnwood and Shorecrest rank sixth, seventh and eight respectively.
