MONROE — Traffic was blocked on Highway 203 and High Rock Road on Tuesday morning after a medical emergency appeared to lead to an accident.
An 86-year-old man apparently suffered a heart attack while trying to pull into traffic on the highway, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
The man was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Leary said.
The other vehicle in the accident was an unloaded city of Duvall dump truck. The driver and passenger weren’t hurt.
The crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. and traffic was detoured around the accident until the mess was cleaned up.
