SULTAN — A Snohomish man was arrested Thursday in connection with a lit gas can that was tossed at a Sultan house on Sept. 18.

Witnesses told police the man, 32, calls himself a white supremacist and has neo-Nazi tattoos, according to a police affidavit filed Friday in Everett District Court.

Police were called around 8 p.m. to a house party in the 500 block of Alder Street, the court document said. Witnesses reported an argument between the suspect and a group of men, all of whom appeared to be intoxicated.

The man who was arrested was seen tossing a gas can at the group and fleeing in a minivan, the court document said.

A small fire started and bystanders were able to douse it, according to the court document. No one appeared to be injured.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree assault and first-degree arson.
