More on training camp

I recently chatted with Everett general manager Doug Soetaert and here’s a few other tidbits about training camp:
– Although the official check-in date is Tuesday, most of the returning players are expected back in town this weekend.
– Approximately 75 players are expected for camp. They will be split into four teams, with each team being a mix of veterans and rookies.
– Soetaert would not comment on who’s coming and who’s not, saying he would wait until Tuesday to see who actually showed up before releasing any information. So no, I don’t know whether Seth Jones is coming.
– Each team will play twice each day of training camp, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. The afternoon games, which take place at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., are open to the public.
– The Green-Grey game at 3 p.m. on Saturday, which concludes training camp, will also be a mixture of vets and rookies. Admission is free to the public, but the team is encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items, which will be donated to the Volunteers of America Food Bank.
I plan on live blogging from training camp, so be prepared to tune in all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
