Burning gas can tossed at Sultan house

SULTAN — Police are trying to determine who lit a gas can afire and tossed it at a house Friday night.

Sultan police, who operate on a contract with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, were called about the incident around 7:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Alder Street, sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

A small fire started and bystanders were able to douse it, Hover said. No one was injured.

No arrests have been made.
