A special guest at Wednesday’s practice

The Huskies just finished practice on a nice sunny day, and among the visitors today was former Husky and four time NFL Pro Bowler Lawyer Milloy.
Several of the current UW safeties said after practice that having a Husky legend on hand (and barking advice from the sideline) was pretty inspiring. The coaching staff also didn’t mind having Milloy around as a good example for the players.
The news of the day on the injury front was that Skyler Fancher, who was injured on Monday, has a broken leg that required surgery. Fancher, who had been working with the second-team offense at tackle, will obviously be out for the rest of the spring, but is expected to return when fall camp begins in August.
The Huskies did get a few injured players back, and CB Matt Mosley and TB Brandon Johnson both returned to action.
The team is going to practice with helmets and no pads Friday, taking it easy in anticipation of Saturday’s scrimmage.
