Volunteer: Clothes for Kids needs help

The Lynnwood organization Clothes for Kids needs volunteers to help run its boutique-style clothing shop.

The work includes receiving donations, sorting and cleaning clothes and shoes, restocking the boutique, and helping clients select clothing.

Training will be provided and shifts are one or two per week from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Clothes for Kids is a nonprofit organization that provides low-income families with free clothing, school supplies and backpacks. The boutique provides stylish clothing intended to enhance children’s self-esteem.

In 2008, 3,462 complete wardrobes were provided to 2,661 children.
