A Marysville 411 Community Connections Festival is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Totem Middle School Gym and Cafeteria, 1605 Seventh St. NE in Marysville
It’s hosted by the Marysville Community Coalition, a partnership of the Marysville School District, the city, the library, the YMCA, Camp Fire USA, the Salvation Army and other community groups.
Learn about resources found in and around Marysville. There will be musicians and entertainment, parenting information, activities for kids, and a free lunch.

Diggin’ the didgeridoo
Learn to play the didgeridoo at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd. in Mukilteo.
Hear about the aboriginal culture of Australia through stories, photos and a video.
Listen to the rhythms and sounds of the didgeridoo, such as the bark of the dingo, the boomerang whirl and the kangaroo hop.
Small didgeridoos will be available for your use, but you’ll also learn how to make your own.
The program is aimed at school-age children and their families.

Water resource committee applicants
Island County officials are looking for applicants to complete a term on the county’s 12- member water resources advisory committee.
Applicants should live in the Oak Harbor area.
The term runs until May 2010. Meetings are monthly either on Whidbey Island or Camano Island.

The deadline is April 6.
