Woman pulled from Highway 9 wreckage in Lake Stevens

LAKE STEVENS — Rescue crews Tuesday morning used the jaws of life to free a woman trapped in a car after a crash.

Firefighters were called to the intersection of Market Place and Highway 9 about 11 a.m., Lake Stevens Fire Battalion Chief Travis Hots said. Two trucks and a car were involved in the crash.

Medics drove three people to a hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, Hots said. All of them had been in the car.

The crash left the highway closed for about half an hour, Hots said. Police were investigating.
