Fisherman who drowned in Skykomish River named

GOLD BAR — The fisherman found Friday morning in the Skykomish River near Gold Bar has been identified as William Keith Everett by the Snohomish County medical examiner.

Everett, 59, of Edmonds was discovered about 9:30 a.m. in a couple feet of water. His fishing pole was found nearby, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

He drowned, the medical examiner said. The fisherman’s death was ruled an accident.

It’s unclear how long Everett had been in the water. There were no signs of foul play, Hover said.
