Basketball team back from first weekend of practice

The men’s basketball team is back on campus after opening their practice schedule with a weekend at St. Martin’s University. Romar likes opening the season away to help the team bond and also get a taste for life on the road.
One team bonding activity over the weekend was bowling, and according to Romar, Artem Wallace is the team leader in that event (though apparently no one likes to give Wallace credit for this since he shows up with his own bowling ball).
As for the practices themselves, the team practiced twice a day Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and most importantly, Romar said, they came out of it healthy.
Asked for his impressions on what he saw, Romar said this weekend confirmed what he said before practice began, that the team has, “more playmakers. More players that make basketball plays.”
Asked how this team compares after one weekend to last year’s, Romar said, “We’re further along this year than we were last year.”
