Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage exhibit will open to public June 6 at Paine Field.

The billionaire’s collection of 15 planes and three historical artifacts features aircraft used during World War II by the U.S., Britain, Russia, Germany and Japan.

To go with the exhibit, the Flying Heritage Museum also will offer “fly-days” every other Saturday from June 14 through mid-October. During the “fly days,” several of the planes will be shown off both on the ground and in the air.

Other aircraft, many of which currently are being researched, restored and preserved, eventually be will join the display.
