Crash blocking U.S. 2 in Sultan

SULTAN – An accident at Sultan Basin Road was blocking westbound U.S. 2 this afternoon.
The highway was expected to be reopened by 5:30 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation. Traffic is being diverted to 339th Avenue SE and then back onto the highway at Cascade View Road.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. No information about possible injuries was available. Sultan police are in charge of the investigation.
