Monday hoops update

Lorenzo Romar and players met with the media today to talk about Wednesday’s home game against Valparaiso in the first round of the CBI.

As was mentioned here last night, Washington knew it was hosting a game, but didn’t know who it was playing until late at night. Some players said they didn’t know they were facing Valpo until they woke up today.

Romar listed Brockman as day-to-day, but the junior forward said he was pretty confident he would be ready to play.

And for those wondering about tickets, they go on sale starting tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. through gohuskies.com or by calling 206-543-2200. Season ticket holders can already purchase tickets online. Tickets for the game will be $15 and $5 for UW students.

Wednesday’s 6 pm game will be shown on Fox College Sports, but not on FSN, which will be showing that night’s Sonics game.
