A few evening football notes

The football team takes off tomorrow for its game against Arizona State, and not much news was going on today. There were no players, only Tyrone Willingham, meeting with the media today.

He said that this week’s practices have been good, and that there have been no new injuries. He also hinted that pecking order might be developing at tailback behind Louis Rankin, but did not say what that order might be.

Here’s is today’s coverage from the Arizona Republic, with the big news being that tight end Brent Miller is having knee surgery. If that name sounds familiar to Husky fans, it should. Miller caught the game-winning touchdown pass in overtime in ASU’s win at Washington last year.
