A few pregame notes

I’m here in Corvallis, where the weather is much nicer than we were expecting. The rain that was predicted earlier this week doesn’t look like it’s coming, meaning a rare dry meeting between the Huskies and Oregon State. Even so, expect Oregon State to run a lot playing without starting quarterback Sean Canfield.

We’ve been told here in the press box that tailback J.R. Hasty made the trip for this game. Hasty did not travel with the team to Stanford.

Also here is Johnie Kirton, who missed Thursday’s practice because of illness.

And as has been the case with other “7:15” games this season, kickoff has been pushed back a few minutes. We’re scheduled to start at 7:26 now.
