This one’s over

Well, ok, not really over, but it might as well be. It’s 76-36 Huskies with four minutes left, so I think it’s safe to chalk this one up as a W for Washington.

The Huskies definitely look a bit more cohesive than they did in their exhibition game (like Romar said, that’s why they play exhibition games) but there is still room for improvement from this game (to be honest, I think Division II SPU would beat NJIT if they played right now). There were still more turnovers than I’m sure Romar was comfortable with, and the free throw shooting was pretty bad, especially early in the night. That being said, the defense forced a lot of turnovers, something the Huskies hope to do a lot of this year, and getting 16 points out of Tim Morris in his Husky debut is certainly a positive.
