Funny Stuff

Something happened during Oklahoma’s pregame pomp and circumstance that was funny, even though it shouldn’t have been.

As part of the ceremonies, which includes the arrival of the Sooner Schooner and a performance by the band, they also unveil a giant Oklahoma state flag, which they then shake, similar to what Washington does with the American flag. Only, just as the flag was unfurled, a woman holding the flag took a header and struggled to get to her feet, finally having to be helped off the field to the bench. She was later lifted onto a cart and carted off the field. It probably shouldn’t have been funny, I feel bad for thinking it’s funny (kind of) and I hope she’s OK, but it certainly got a laugh out of the media who saw it happen.

Here come the Sooners captains onto the field, we’re 4:30 left before the game. The temperature is 91 degrees with a wind of 10 mph and 31 percent humidity.
