Lynnwood

Navy Seaman Brandon D. Butler, son of Charles Gibson of Lynnwood, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training and was meritoriously promoted to his current rank at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Shoreline

Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Jared R. Toms, son of Linda and Randall Toms of Shoreline, recently graduated from the Ground Communications Organizational Repair Course at Marine Corp Communications-Electronics School, Twentynine Palms, Calif. Toms is a 2001 graduate of Nathan Hale High School in Seattle and joined the Marine Corps in May 2004.

Edmonds

Marine Cpl. Aaron Draper, son of Cathleen and Henry Draper of Edmonds, is on an aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf after leaving Iraq the last week in February.

Army Pvt. Chase C. Vincent has graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Knox, Ky., which consisted of basic military training and advanced individual training (AIT), completing a seven-week cavalry scout course. Vincent is the son of Kristina and Timothy Vincent of Edmonds.
