Washington state auditors gave Snohomish County high marks after reviewing financial statements and federal-grant compliance during 2014.

The clean report, issued Thursday, means that the county has been accurately reporting financial information and complying with federal grant requirements. State auditors identified no problems.

Credit rating agencies, bond investors and the public rely on audit information to assess a jurisdiction’s financial strength, the county said in a statement. The state audit results also were a key factor in the county maintaining high bond ratings.
