Four can’t-miss shows coming to the Historic Everett Theatre

The Historic Everett Theatre has planned two weekends of concert fun.
Some of the best in tribute bands roll through the 115-year-old Historic Everett Theatre, along with many well-known acts and young people making their ways in the local and regional music scenes.
“Our goal is to preserve the legacy of this grand old theater,” said manager Curt Shriner. “We are doing that by maintaining the building and its history of providing the best-quality entertainment for all ages.
“We also feel we must keep the theater available for the people of Everett for education, public forums and as a place where local talent can perform and flourish.”
Here’s the line up for this weekend and next at the theater, 2911 Colby Ave. (Ticket information is available by calling 425-258-6766.)
The Led Zeppelin Experience: 8 p.m. Nov. 11. Tickets are $15-$30.
For more than 15 years the Led Zeppelin Experience (formerly named No Quarter) has been entertaining Zep fans here and abroad. The word is that the Tacoma-based band goes far beyond any group of musicians covering the same tunes. Members accurately play the characters of John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.
Four Bitchin’ Babes: 8 p.m. Nov. 12. Tickets are $25-$40.
Start with four richly gifted singer-songwriters, add a cup of married life, four kids, four-part harmony vocals, one piano, four guitars, one rockin’ pink bass, a dollop of sharp social commentary, cheerleading pom poms, a pinch of PMS, a wardrobe of bling, and you’ve got an estrogen-fueled hilarious new show that celebrates the best of Babes, Boys and Botox. After 25 years as a traveling pajama party, nine recordings and one full-length concert DVD, this fabulous female folkestra of indestructible divas are hotter than ever. Literally. And always evolving. The Babes — Sally Fingerett, Debi Smith, Deirdre Flint and either Nancy Moran or Megon McDonough — are on a national tour.
American Fool: 8 p.m. Nov. 18. Tickets $18.
“American Fool” is considered the Pacific Northwest’s premier tribute to the music of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member John Mellencamp. Based in Seattle, the seven-piece band replicates the heart and soul of Mellencamp’s hits, including “Crumblin’ Down,” “Hurts So Good,” “Jack and Diane,” “Lonely ol’ Night” and “Pink Houses.”
Ted Vigil is John Denver: 8 p.m. Nov. 19, with tickets from $18.
Back for a third time in Everett, Ted Vigil is “one of our favorite acts,” Shriner said. “He’s an incredible performer and you will feel that you are at an actual John Denver concert. Really, don’t miss this great show.”
